Thank you so much

Oh, my goodness, thank you for all the inspirational ideas yesterday! Now I'm looking forward to traveling by train, making a list of dreams, smiling at strangers, doing underwater handstands, making a crazy cake for a friend, moving furniture around, talking a walk in the fresh air, watching Korean films, browsing through bookstores and eating lots and lots of peanut butter and chocolate. Most of all, I'm inspired by you, my absolutely wonderful readers, who always make me smile, even on not-so-good days.

  20. I love that photo! It instantly reminded me of a little miracle that happened to us this week and I thought I'd share: A few months ago my husband accepted an award that was presented posthumously to his father. Since that time the etched block of glass has sat rather awkwardly atop the dresser in the bedroom (it totally needs a real place of honor, but I guess we just haven't found one yet). Well, the other morning in bed the Kiddo nursed in my arms and I continued to slumber away. It was much earlier than we usually wake up, but suddenly the Kiddo shouted, "LIGHT!" in this amazed, dreamy little voice. I opened my eyes and the room was literally dancing with tiny rainbows. On the walls, on the ceiling, on us! The timing of the sunbeams had interacted perfectly with the random placement of the glass award, and it was acting like the worlds best ever prism! We excitedly called for my husband, who was already up and in the kitchen, and we all sat there happy and amazed and feeling the magical presence of a lost loved one. It kind of made our week. XOXO.
