Home Inspiration: Gallery Wall

I've always wanted to create a gallery wall at home, but I get overwhelmed by the prospect of picking out all the frames. Jorey Hurley had a genius idea: She made a simple grid of 4" x 6" Ikea clip frames featuring all her favorite family snapshots. I can do that!

  9. I bought a bunch of the same frames years ago but never got around to hanging them. They never seemed to lay evenly!

  10. wow, that is fantastic! i always get overwhelmed, too. i like how they are hidden behind the staircase, partially (a little less pressure to be the main focus of the room, i suppose!).

  22. this is so awesome! I know what you mean about picking the frames. I started one and now have no more room left and I just turned around to look at it and saw that all of the frames are different. lol. mostly black but all different. somehow the organized chaos works. I remember I just got up on my step ladder and started hammering. I figured, what the hell...and it worked! plus, it's a rental:) ssh...don't tell my Landlord.

  26. That is so clever. If I had a wall that large I would love to do the same, but unfortunately in my tiny apartment that would probably be overkill. Beautiful though.

  32. Great idea. I've been thinking about doing the same. And in my googling this morning I came across this too which would be perfect for us apartmetn dwellers (less damage of course to the walls):
