Is that Roosevelt Island? I used to live there, and always envisioned taking my little ones for sports there! Of course I was single and childless, but still liked to picture it!
Oh my! I love soccer. I played for about 15 years and I have coached a few children teams. I love when they are little it is like a little herd following the ball. Such a great game!
i love super soccer stars. they are awesome my 4 year old started with them at age 2 now my second son will start next week. Toby should enjoy it, the coaches are great.
I wouldn't have "gotten" this post before my little girl :) I would have thought it was sweet and cute but wouldn't have understood the heart bursting piece. But I've found that I can see my little one in ALL little ones... is that just me? What a precious expression.
The other day, my husband and I had a picnic in a park where 4 year old girls were having their first soccer practice. They were completely disoriented and all over the place... and so disinterested. It was hilarious to watch. So, in your Toby photo here- which is over the top adorable- I am loving how all three of the little boys there seem to be engaged and have smiles on their faces. I'm particularly fond of the little guy who "took a knee" in the background. This image made my day. You are the best for sharing.
I get goosebumps thinking this is ahead of me. My son is 14 months old. Toby is absolutely adorable and is such a good boy watching and listening like that. He looks so keen. From one proud Mama to another...well done and congratulations. Jx
My little boys are big boys now and this makes me so nostalgic. Wee boy soccer was called "Field Mice" which cracks me up. My mom always referred to the shorts with a mere glimpse of chunky leg as "longs".
You're so good at savouring the moments - well done. They are fleeting.
